The Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in 1979. Our Mission is “to develop an active organization to promote, focus and ensure the economic growth and development of our members and the community at large”. Our members are businesses and organizations from the City of Richmond, Richmond, Lenox, Columbus, Casco Townships and other businesses that have an interest in our area.
The Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce Membership offers the opportunity to network with other local businesses, learn more effective business practices through informational seminars, speakers and workshops, participate in Chamber sponsored events, participate in advertising opportunities, receive member discounts and keep informed of government actions that may affect our members.
The Chamber’s Monthly Meetings are held the 4th Thursday of the month-times and locations may vary. These meetings offer information and opportunities that will affect you and your ability to be proactive in today’s competitive market. They provide leads to expand your business and access the places you’ve always wanted to reach.
We offer a variety of events at different locations and times. For example: In February we put on the Winter Festival – a weekend long event which has something for everyone whether you take a stroll through town with your family to see the ice sculptures, attend the Craft/Vendor Fair, the Family Fun Day, RAGHS sleigh rides and cook in the Chili Cook Off and much more – there is something for everyone – young and old.
The “Welcome to Richmond Basket” is the Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce and local business’s way of welcoming new residents of Richmond to our fine community. RACC sends a basket containing items from local participating businesses as well as information from local, state and federal levels and phone books. The businesses supply us with coupons, pens, pencils, letter openers, magnets, coffee cups, key chains, hair products and much more. What a great way for businesses to introduce themselves to the new residents of Richmond!!
The RACC sponsors or participates in many other events designated to promote our local businesses and the economic development of our community.
What are our plans for the RACC? We want to help our local businesses grow. If you’re a member of the RACC or a business that may want to join, please sign-up to our weekly newsletter. Thank you.
